cclub1The Caravan Club recently went live with a new-look website at www.caravanclub.co.uk. The Club has refreshed the site to make it easier to use.

The Club says that the thousands of pages of content now have improved functionality, ease of navigation and a whole range of new and useful features for caravanners which will enable them to get the maximum amount of enjoyment from their holiday experience, and their leisure time as well. The new look also complements the Club member email newsletter campaign redesign.

Recent new features include
• prominent ‘Site Search and Book’ facility from the Home Page including late site availability, easily accessed with a click-through button, and with colour-coded pitch types clearly shown
• over 200 overseas site detail pages added, complementing The Club’s ferry and overseas sites booking service to provide members with a wealth of information so they can plan their Continental touring with ease
• improved website Search feature using Google, delivering more targeted and relevant results for users
• interactive maps and route planning, not only for Caravan Club sites, but to Certificated Locations (CLs) and all UK attractions featured in the ‘Great Days Out’ members’ booklet. And most importantly ‘caravan-friendly’ routes for the final approach to each site are now shown

With over a quarter of a million registered users and more than half a million visits every month, the website is already firmly bookmarked in Club members’ ‘Favourites’.

“This has been a tremendous undertaking for The Caravan Club, bearing in mind the breadth of information now incorporated onto the new website, and we are delighted with the results, and pleased that members are already appreciating the new features,” commented Caravan Club Head of E-commerce, Natasha MacDonald. “We’re now working towards bringing even more useful content online over the coming months.”
The website has a refreshed look and feel which Club members, and caravanners or prospective caravanners, will find easy to use and hugely informative!

Its great to see the Caravan Club continuing to improve its website.
But shouldn’t it be thinking along the lines of:-
Free Wi-Fi on all Club sites and
    Internet Booking for ALL sites
